I've seen a lot of negative things about this Jet. Not sure why though.. It's fast, easy to fly, and fun. It's also different and I like that!

Bought the truck a week ago. It came pretty fast. Been wanting the Defender ever since it came out and am real happy with my purchase so far. Had a few questions after receiving the truck and customer service was on it the next day! Love that a company has time for its customers. Channing over at FMS was awesome and I received a free gift even though I didn’t qualify for one! Thank you so much! Being my second truck from FMS I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.

We’ve purchased 2 planes. On building the 2nd, our son realized a specific cable, the alleron y cable isn’t included and wasn’t included in the first plane which may have led to its demise . So here sits the 2nd plane, and I get to track down some special cable before they can try flying a 2nd time. I’m surprised it wasn’t include with the plane.

I liked the stock tires that came with the Fms defender but quickly realized the tires retained water so I ordered the Batrazzi camel series beadlock rims, fantastic!

I got a FMS 1200mm ranger, and love it. The plane works well and fly smoothly, and the whole thing feels sturdy and fun to fly. the self leveling feature works great, though it does pitch its self up a little. this can be fixed by adjusting the small red box with all the wires (or so youtube says). Overall it works great, though I do suggest getting a simulator to practice, and watching youtube videos for assembaly. the paint damages pretty easily, and I snapped the propeller flying improperly, so make sure to get extra propellers and check flight controlls each time you fly, but it is a great plane for bigginers, good for intermidate and expereinced flyers.
The model went together very quick with great fitting parts and assemblies. Electronics all worked great including the solid state gyros and accelerometers (my 1st experience with these systems). The flight controls all aligned nearly perfectly in their neutral positions (sticks centered), and throttle response was spot on and responsive. The plane wants to get up and go, haven't flown it yet. Even the CG was on the money with the battery forward in its mount. Very impressed.
