Hinges & Ball-Head Linkage

The 80mm F-86 model utilizes ball-linkage control with a simulation of real aircraft hinges. Compared to foam hinges, this provides greater flexibility, with no play, ensuring precise control and outstanding flight performance.

200g Thrust Beyond Conventional Limits

The F-86 boasts a robust configuration, including an 80mm 12-blade ducted fan, 3665-KV2000 brushless motor, and a high-performance 100A ESC (with 5A switch BEC). Compatible with commonly available 6S 4000-5500mAh LiPo batteries, its efficient design ensures outstanding performance even during extended flights. With powerful thrust, it exceeds conventional limits by 200g.

Eco-Friendly Screw Assembly

Assembling the 80mm F-86 model is incredibly convenient. There's no need for glue; it's all secured with hex screws. This means you can replace parts at any time, making maintenance and care simple.

Innovative 34.5x foam technology

Adopting innovative 34.5x foam technology, this model not only diminishes the granular feel of foam but also enhances the surface's shine and aesthetics, providing a visually pleasing experience.

Wing with Integrated Slot Installation

The wing's integrated slot installation eliminates tedious procedures, enhancing flight reliability and convenience. Say goodbye to intricacies and welcome a more enjoyable and worry-free flying experience.

Equipped with 11 Servos

Including eight 13g all-metal servos for precise control of ailerons, flaps, rudder, and elevator, you can execute maneuvers with ease. Master pitch, roll, yaw, and flip effortlessly. Three 9g semi-metal servos control airbrakes and the front landing gear doors, simulating realistic actions with precision and timing.

Cockpit with Concealed Latch Design

Effortlessly open the cockpit with a simple one-press operation. This convenient and efficient feature effectively protects the aircraft from accidental opening or damage, maintaining an authentic visual appeal for consistency and realism.

Not well engineered nose gear

First the jet has great details and flying characteristics. Flew great. Came in for a landing, touched down smooth as baby shit. During roll out, hit a tuft of grass and folded up the nose gear. First thought was a trunking, no big deal, but instead it was the actual mount. Plastic is paper thin and no way to replace. You need to buy a whole new fuse. Why would you buy a new fuse with the same issues? So the jet just sits, collecting dust. Very disappointing.

Thank You Harvie and FMS!!!

Today was my Maiden flight. What can I say, it was boring....a perfect Maiden flight! Rotates super smooth with gentle elev input. Then Blazes up the sky. What a sweet girl. Just a couple of clicks of trim and she's on rails. No gyro needed on the big girl.
Big shout out to my Wingman, and Brand Ambassador Harvie Hardknock, and and HUGE Thanks to FMS! This beautiful model was given to me through the FMS gift a plane program. I absolutely Love this Jet. Thanks to Harvie and FMS for making me a part of this program. As well as giving me the opportunity to experience the thrill piloting this amazing representation of the iconic F-86 Sabre. The design team did a fantastic job bringing to life the details and scale features packed into this model. Please check out starsandstripesrc8475 on YouTube for our unboxing and Maiden flight video. THANK YOU FMS!!!

Smooth flying and efficient

This F86 is a smooth flying plane. Very predictable and fun but it will stall if you land too slow. I stalled it but I was less than a foot off of the ground so no damage. With minimal throttle management you can get close to 4 minutes on a 5,000. The plane arrived in mostly good condition except for the rear fuse showing compression wrinkles. I really like this plane.

F86 Sabre delivery damage

This review isn’t so much about the plane itself but the customer support that comes with it. I’ve ordered several FMS planes before and they are packaged very well. During transport things happen and that’s what happened with the Sabre. It got punched in on the side damaging the vertical stab. Contacted FMS about the damage during delivery. The person on the phone was very receptive, but stated I had to follow up with an email and photos. Unfortunately, it’s a waiting game to see if they will replace the damaged parts. On a follow up email from them they stated they are looking into the matter. One would expect that damage during delivery would be hands down no brainer. Well we see and hope. I’m really looking forward to fly this plane just hope FMS follows through with their customer support.

FMS 80 mm F-86

I purchased both the "Huff" and Sky Blazer versions because the F-86 is one of my favorite planes. The plane arrived with absolutely no damage. The plane is loaded with details and looks very realistic an nicely finished. I coated both planes with two coats of Minwax Acrylic Gloss to seal the graphics and improve durability. The overall appearance of the F-86 is beautiful in finish and details.
My maiden flight was fairly uneventful with only needing to readjust the elevator trim for level flight. I was using a new HRB 6 cell 5000 maha LiPo for power and I fly using the Spektrum NX-10SE transmitter. I do not have an AS3X receiver installed in either jet. I do have a Futura V3 EDF and have been very impressed with the performance of this plane and was expecting similar performance with the F-86. However, on the first flight it was very noticeable that performance was not there. I checked the specifications and noticed both the F-86 and Futura V3 use the same motor and fan. The performance of the Futura V3 is very impressive, but the F-86 not-so-much as it weights approximately 3050 gr compared to the Futura V3 at 2500 gr. To me, I find the plane flys heavy and requires more power at all times. The plane flies well and handles well and landing is predictable just be very cognizant of your throttle.
