K5 BLAZER HISTORY
Every automaker has several incredible and legendary models. In the SUV segment, Ford has the Mustang and Jeep has the CJ. For GM, that car is the K5 BLAZER.
In 1969, Chevrolet's first-generation K5 Blazer came out. It was the representative of the famous Chevrolet C/K series and was the most compact full-size SUV on the market at the time. The vehicle is positioned as a full-size sport utility vehicle and is also GM's smallest full-size SUV. It combines Scout's excellent off-road capability with an automatic transmission, which reduces the difficulty of operation and enhances the pleasure of operation. Even people without off-road driving experience can easily drive this car. More people can experience the joy of adventure and long-distance travel to unknown destinations. In addition, it is also the first to carry on-board air conditioning, a "luxury" feature that was especially popular among young people. By 1970, the Blazer was outselling every one of its competitors.
COLORADO HISTORY
The Chevrolet Colorado is a pickup truck model produced by General Motors (GM). It was first introduced in 2004 to fill the gap in the small pickup truck market for GM.
The Chevrolet Colorado is highly competitive and has a strong market advantage among similar pickup trucks. From basic utility to luxury models, from two-seaters to four-seaters, and from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, there are corresponding models for consumers to choose from. Its advantages in performance and handling are evident, such as high load-bearing capacity, powerful engine, and excellent suspension system. CHEVY K10 HISTORY
The development of Chevrolet K10 can be traced back to the early 1960s. During that period, the demand for pickup trucks in the American automotive market began to grow, especially for industrial, agricultural, and outdoor activities, where a robust and durable pickup truck was needed to fulfill various purposes. In this context, Chevrolet, as a brand under General Motors, introduced the first-generation C/K series pickup trucks aimed at meeting these demands, and the Chevrolet K10 was one of them.
Meanwhile, the exterior design of the Chevrolet K10 also embodies the characteristics of the American automotive culture of that era. It adopted the typical American large-size design style, featuring a square and rugged body profile with a spacious cabin area, presenting a commanding and luxurious appearance. The interior layout was comfortable and practical, meeting the expectations of the time for a pickup truck that could serve both family and commercial purposes.

A Tough K5 Blazer's Journey
So we're here today with a 1985 Chevy Blazer. This truck started out its life as a military blazer and then was decommissioned and used as a Penn Township police vehicle. After that it was sold to a private party. It changed hands a few times and now it's out here being used as a wood buggy. They use it to get firewood out of the woods here. And this thing still works like a tank. Check it out all the body damage and all the years of use on there. And it's still ticking this thing has a 6.2-liter diesel and turbo 400 Chevy transmission.
Childhood Chevy Memories
I remember when I was a kid, my father used to work on a car shop and there has a lot of Chevy trucks, pretty similar as c10 but I can't remember exactly the model, those days were magical, I used to seat behind the wheel pretending I was driving.
Later on when I was 16 my father and was traveling in a Chevy car, not a truck but it was a Chevy, he was kinda tired because of the time he woke up and ended up sleeping behind the wheel, we had a small crash but the car got completely crooked, it was riding almost sideways, we didn't get hurt or anything, was only a scary moment, later on, laugh about it because the car was driving funny.
