FMS FCX18S 1:18 GMC Sierra S RTR Brushless
Description
Introduction:
Authorized by General Motors LLC, this FMS model recreates a classic vehicle on the FCX18S series chassis. The FMS 1/18 GMC Sierra S features crisp body lines and finely executed scale details, highlighted by the iconic chrome front grille that reflects the Sierra’s distinctive design language. Scale accessories include foldable side mirrors, door handles, windshield wipers, and a roll cage.
The vehicle is equipped with a fully molded interior and an integrated lighting control system that mirrors full-scale functionality. Headlights, turn signals, and taillights can be independently controlled from the transmitter, enhancing realism and interaction. The combination of large rubber tires and durable plastic wheels provides a balance between smooth trail cruising and stable higher-speed driving.
The Sierra S chassis is reinforced with a metal frame, metal suspension links, metal steering linkages, and metal steering rods, ensuring durability and stability in demanding environments. A centrally mounted drivetrain integrates the two-speed transmission, transfer case, and 1312 high-torque brushless motor, creating a low center of gravity for improved control. Power is delivered through universal driveshafts to the front and rear portal axles (wheel-end reducers), increasing differential ground clearance and significantly enhancing off-road capability on rough terrain.
This model comes standard with a straight-axle drive configuration, with the option to upgrade to a planetary gear differential. When paired with high-viscosity silicone oil, this setup simulates a limited-slip differential (LSD) effect. While this configuration reduces extreme crawling performance, it provides a tighter turning radius and improved stability at higher speeds.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about 1-18 RC Car
What is the difference between brushed and brushless RC motors?
Brushed motors are typically more affordable and provide excellent control for slow-speed crawling, making them perfect for beginners. Brushless motors offer higher efficiency, more torque, and a longer lifespan. If you are looking for maximum speed and performance, brushless is the way to go.
What do I need to get started with an FMS RC car?
Most of our 1/18 RC cars are RTR (Ready-to-Run). This means everything is included in the box:
- Pre-assembled RC Car
- 2.4GHz Radio Transmitter & Receiver
- Motor and ESC (Electronic Speed Controller)
- Rechargeable Battery and USB Charger
- Note: You usually only need to provide AAA batteries for the transmitter.
How do I choose my first 1/18 scale RC crawler?
For beginners, we recommend starting with a brushed RTR model. It is cost-effective, easy to operate, and incredibly capable on trails. We suggest choosing the body style that resonates most with your personal passion—whether it’s a vintage truck or a modern SUV—as the "scale look" is a huge part of the enjoyment in this hobby.
